This style of trance is not extremely popular nowadays, but many uplifting trance and energy trance tracks today are starting to bring back the style. This type of trance existed about 7 to 9 years ago and was slowly unpopularized as break beats and other types of techno were introduced.

Whoa, exquisite post there man. Might want to like... add to it though. You're not doing hard trance justice. After all, if I listen to trance it's just about always hard trance. But tech trance, that's where it's at. Hmm... I smell a post of my own sometime in the future. Everybody could use some more Marcel Woods in their library.
PS - 1999 is way too simple for me to like it. It's missing the elements that make me like hard trance. This basically ensures that I will do a post later in attempt to do it justice, but first I've gotta get through all the tracks on Discovery, write about the album as a whole, and then write about interstella 5555. Maybe after that.
